Dr. Phil Dawkins was a husband and father of four children, grandfather of three. He had numerous articles published in peer review journals such as The American Heart Journal. Dr. Dawkins had the privilege to serve at the following local area hospitals:

Dr. Phil Dawkins was also the founder of an electronic medical record program called "TranScribe". TranScribe has been used widely and is cutting edge electronic medical record technology. The newly updated system now carries his name, Dawkins EMR 2.0 - this system will be widely available in 2009.
